Francisco Bello is an OSCAR® and three time Emmy nominee. His editorial work includes SUMMER SUN WINTER MOON (ITVS), NEITHER MEMORY NOR MAGIC (MoMA Documentary Fortnight), BETTY LA FLACA (HBO), andJULIETA Y RAMON (Showtime). He launched Ropa Vieja Films in 2007 with SALIM BABA (HBO, Canal+, EBS), which he shot and produced in Kolkata, India. SALIM BABA has screened in over 100 festivals worldwide including Sundance, Telluride, IDFA, and Tribeca. In 2008 SALIM BABA was Nominated for a Best Short Documentary ACADEMY AWARD®, followed by a News & Documentary Emmy Nomination in 2009. His directorial debut (co-directed with Tim Sternberg) commissioned by HBO Documentary Films was EL ESPÍRITU DE LA SALSA, which premiered at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival. Francisco produced and edited WAR DON DON, which won the Special Jury prize at the 2010 SXSW Film Festival and the first annual Karen Schmeer Award for Excellence in Documentary Editing. After airing on HBO, WAR DON DON received Emmy nominations for Outstanding Coverage of a News Story and Outstanding Editing. Francisco is currently editing the film OUR NIXON, and co-directing MU XIN: NOTES FROM THE UNDERGROUND, both due for release in 2012.

丁．斯坦堡TIM STERNBERG, Co-Director, Producer, Supervising Editor, "Mu Xin: Notes from the Underground"

ACADEMY AWARD® Nominee Tim Sternberg started working in the editing rooms of Francis Ford Coppola's American Zoetrope Studios in San Francisco while still in high school. After moving to New York he's worked in positions as diverse as sound effects recordist on Nora Ephron's "Sleepless in Seattle" and Robert Benton's "The Human Stain", re-editing the 1992 Academy Award winning "Mediterraneo" for US release, script consultant for the IFP and American Zoetrope, and music editing for Milos Forman’s "Goya's Ghosts" and the Oscar Winning "The Blood of Yingzhou District" directed by Ruby Yang. Most recently he directed "The Spirit of Salsa" for HBO that premiered at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival. "Salim Baba," shot in four days in Kolkata, India, was his first film as a director. It was Nominated in 2008 for an OSCAR® in the Best Short Documentary category and in 2009 for a News and Documentary Emmy in the Best Arts and Culture Documentary category.

陳丹青CHEN DANQING，Artists and Writers

Chen Danqing is one of China’s most popular working artists and writers. His series of paintings about Tibetans earned him instant fame as a leading Realist in the 1980s. Between 1970 and 1978 Chen went to live in a series of rural villages like Gan Nan and North Jiangsu. He taught himself how to paint and in 1978 was admitted to a research course in the Department of Oil Painting at Central Academy of Fine Arts. In 1980 he graduated and stayed on to teach, before traveling to New York in 1982.  He returned to Beijing in 2000, where  he taught at Beijing's Tsinghua University until 2005, at which time he resigned his position due to his disagreement with non-arts-related prerequisites towards graduation from the arts programs, including English language exams. He continues to paint and write in addition to making regular appearances as a cultural commentator on Chinese television. Chen Danqing is featured in the film, “Mu Xin: Notes on the Underground,” and has been appointed the director of the Mu Xin Museum in Wuzhen, China.

王久安JOANNE WANG， A literary agent and a translator

A literary agent and a translator, Joanne Wang was born in Beijing and studied at Fudan University in Shanghai with a major in English literature. She came to New York in the mid 1980s as a student. She began her career in publishing in New York and in the year 2000 she started her own literary agency.

In recent years, she focused her work on bringing the Chinese books out to the West, getting them translated into English and published in the US and other countries. Among many books she has worked on, here is a short list of the Chinese books published in English in the US through her literary agency: Mu Xin’s An Empty Room; Xu Xiaobin’s Feathered Serpent and Dunhuang Dream; Wang Gang’s English; Yu Hua’s Chronicle of a Blood Merchant, To Live, Cries in Drizzle, and Brothers; Gao Wenqian’s A Biography of Zhou Enlai;  Chen Guidi and Wu Chuntao’s Will the Boat Sink the Water? The Life of China's Peasants, and Jiang Qisheng’s My Life in Prison: Memoirs of a Chinese Political Dissident.

In 2009, she was a translator in residence at Ledig House, an international writers’ residence. She co-translated Xu Xiaobin’s novel Feathered Serpent from the Chinese into English and edited a number of books.

李美華 LUCHIA MEIHUA LEE, Curator

Luchia Meihua Lee is an independent curator, and executive director of Taiwanese America Arts Council. She was Director and Chief Curator of the Exhibition Department of the National Taiwan Museum of Art, Cultural Specialist at the Council for Cultural Affairs in Taiwan, and Curator at the Chinese Information and Cultural Center, Taipei Gallery in New York City. She has successfully curated many exhibitions and events along with a wide variety of lecture series in North America and elsewhere. During a span of over ten years in New York, she has been significantly involved in the contemporary art scene in the greater New York metropolitan area, and published catalogues and other written works. Her exhibitions received international media attention, in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and many other places. She serves as committee member and art consultant for various organizations. Luchia is a member of the American Association of Museum’s Curator Committee.
